Service is slow. Website says price is held for 2 years. Service started under $50 and now is almost $100. Using my phone data plan works soooo much better.

Viasat - Latency issues create untold problems

It's very frustrating to use Viasat, especially when getting into any site with decent security, like Schwab and Chase. Apparently, it's the latency between the upload and download signals that makes getting into these sites, and other sites, impossible. I can't begin to estimate the time I've lost dealing with this issue, but I've little alternative since we live in the country and simply going to the brick and mortar sites is impractical. Clearly, they're aware of the issue, but haven't spent the resources to resolve it. Use extreme caution when signing up for this service!

Viasat is pathetic, their service is usually terrible and new customers in my area of Central Virginia where it is notoriously bad are on the hook for $500 (install + cancelling contract fee)if it is useless. Thank God Verizon Wireless became available. At least now the word is out how much they suck especially with their commercials that are nothing but lies and more lies. Keep spreading the bad word people, so no one else gets ripped off.

Customer service sucks. They argue with you and their sales force lie to you. I have a problem with connection every single day and they tell me i am getting what i pay for (silver 25 plan) if i want gold service i can pay 150 a month (and i thought only att could make me cry hysterically). I am sure that would not be much better. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! To them, it is ok for them not to keep their contract with you but not for you not to honor your contract with them.

Viasat - Waited seven hours for installation and then said he couldn't hook up because he needs a dig test when there is a pole already there. *** poor service.

Was supposed to be there between 11:00am and 2:00pm showed up at 5:40 pm and said he couldn't put it on the house and couldn't put it on the pole already there because it would use to much cable. And had to have a dig test before he could dig *** What a joke for customer service.
