They lied to me too. Service with the plan they sold me on does NOT do what they promised.

I just wanted to be able to watch movies and videos without constant buffering. They promised if I signed a new 2 year contract and got the plan they said would absolutely work for me to watch movies and videos without constant buffering. That is impossible and now they say the plan they sold me would only allow me to watch movies and videos on a cell phone or small tablet not on my TVs.

They want me to upgrade to a much more expensive plan, Before everything was upgraded by them I had been paying $50 a month now they want me to upgrade to the $150 plan. I'm on SSDI due to Cancer I can't afford to pay these crooks that much I'm switching providers and I'm sure Viasat will want their $300 early termination fee They're crooks..

Service

The absolute worst internet ever. Then when you go to cancel get ready for a $343 charge. Then they are supposed to send you a box to return equipment, still waiting, has to be returned in 30 days or another $300. Run from them, dial up is lightening fast compared to their service

We have had issues for around 5 days!! No phone or internet. My dad is very sick and phone doesn't work. Contacted the business we purchased from and were told we have to contact Viasat.

Was on hold for 30 minutes and call was lost!!! Still having issues. Not happy with your help line!!!! What are we do in an emergency!!! Hope nothing happens to any of your loved ones!! We pay enough for your service! I think it is time to not pay for a month! Looking for a better provider!!!!!!

Charged and not a customer

Non customer complaint

I'm not now not have I ever been a customer of viasatt yet for some reason I have a 300.00 charge on my bank acct and I can't get anyone to call me back and Ive called in to customer service on several occasions. I keep hearing email corporate care and I'll get my money back but they still haven't gotten back with me.i want my money

Billing

Canceled first day as Viasat agreed they lied about services. I was told because I already paid first month I wouldn't be billed anything else. The next two months after canceling they charged me 9.99 for equipment rental. When I called they said I should never been charged at all and knew I returned the equipment. Instead of correcting my account they withdrew $200.00 since then I have called everyday and not one person will correct it, or have supervisor call me back . they now say they didn't withdraw any money even though they are linked to NY bank statement as the Ines. I had turn them into the fraud line with my bank.

Turned my service off wrongfully

I paid a payment on the 13 or 18 of September well the lady I spoke with told me she could carry over 40 dollars till next month bill so I said ok I was going to pay the full amount now my service is off due to the 40 it's not fair help

No service

I cannot get a service rep to come out to fix my modem I cannot get customer service to come to my home it is been one month since I've been out of the Internet I am very upset I've called four different times.

Horrible company

Service is horrible. I have the Unlimited plan and i understand after 100GB it slows down. But this slowed down the WHOLE TIME. When it rains, no service. When it snows, no service. when the wind blows, no service. I called to cancel and they still charged my account for a regular monthly fee because they say, my service would be active for another month. They will not refund the money. This company is awful. Would not recommend at all. It is very expensive to get the horrible service they offer. An their Customer Service Department? Absolutely terrible and rude and hard to get ahold of.

Pay bill

A Warning for Others

After finally reaching a human at the Viasat customer service telephone number, I discontinued my Viasat service by paying an early disconnect fee of $200 which was cheaper than my continuing to pay $149 per month for the remaining months on the Viasat Platinum Service contract. Yet, Viasat continued to charge my credit card $149 per month. I finally cancelled that particular credit card to prevent future Viasat charges.

Let my review be a warning to people living in rural areas that have few options for an internet service provider. Viasat was the absolute worst mistake I've ever made when selecting a company to provide home internet service. The download speeds were so slow that reading simple emails with no graphics was next to impossible. Viasat charged me $149 per month for their high-speed plan. Consider my review a Public Service Announcement for others. I want no money from Viasat.
