Faster than DSL, unlimited service, that is what they claim. I asked about interference from storms, they said it didn't. They tried to sell me a larger package to improve pixels. I told them I didn't need more pixels as I didn't have an HD TV and my site isn't all that great anymore. They installed and the first day was okay. Second and every day after was a different story. Every day between 2 and 4 it went down and I had to hard boot the modem. I called the installer like he asked and he told me what to do. He said they were having satellite issues. I couldn't post anything to social media with the share button, I had to copy and paste right from the beginning. Less than a week later, I started buffering on my computer. I called and they said I had used up my limit, but I was told it was unlimited, that was one of the main reasons I switched. They told me they wouldn't cut me off or charge me more, but buffering all the time is not worth the cost of the service. I told them to cancel and this was less than 2 weeks of service, but today I got a bill for $344 as a cancellation fee. I do not feel I should have to pay for a service that was misrepresented. I feel this may be a Truth in Advertising issue. Slower than my DSL was, unreliable, and a total fabrication on the unlimited service. The sales rep that signed me up, out right lied to me.

Awful service on installation. I specify had in notes for pole to be put in yard. Service guy came unprepared. No concrete & didnt purchase enough. I was told i had to purchase more concrete to hold Viasats pole stable & technician didn't even attempt to bury cable....

I tried to send in my complaint on my phone but of course the little Viasat wheel goes round and round. 5 and 1/2 more months and I/m done with Viasay and Direct TV.

Their supposed "bundle" is a joke. Direct TV is dropping more and more channels-we' re still paying the same. No credit!

Viasat is the world's slowest and most expensive internet! BAD!

Friends, DO NOT go through ViaSat internet... it is a fraud company. Viasat is the worst company that I have ever associated with. The technician damaged our gutters. Customer service was no help at all. They do not document information to your account. They purposely provide horrible internet service, making it so you have to cancel and pay the cancellation fee. Customer service does nothing to help. We have spent hours on the phone. They should honestly be shut down due to fraud. Please do not go through this company.

The worst of the worst and shady AF!!! they do not post the amount of your bill on-line until the day after it is due and hits your acct so its a gamble because they do not list your purchases or if you add data its always a damn surprise!! I made a one time payment and they hit my acct twice which caused me an overdraft fee!! this has happened a few times. Oh and the service SUCKS big time. Stay far away from these crooks. They are CROOKS and SHADY

Viasat - Almost unusable internet.

Details
They advertise unlimited data with a speed of 25 mbps. I test it often and barely gets 1 mbps. Unable to stream a 30 sec. YouTube video. Forget multiple line use. They charge extra for any kind of service after install even though never worked well from the beginning. My neighbor has better internet through old fashion telephone line. Just terrible internet for an exorbitant amount of money with even higher fees for early termination of service.

Viasat - Unfair charges and horrible customer service!

I have had Viasat service for a few years because I didn’t have other options. I recently moved and disconnected my service. I was told that I had to remove a TRIA from the dish and return it. My dish is on top of a two story house! I am a single woman with disabilities and can’t possibly climb on top of a house. i explained this to Viasat and they didn’t care. They charged me $160.50 anyway for not returning their equipment! How is this even legal that they can require customers to put themselves in harms way to retrieve THEIR eauipment?

Sold a directv / Viasat package price that Viasat is not honoring. Internet goes out every day. was told to give 2 weeks then call back if i am still not satisfied. I did and still want to charge me $300 to disconnet. Left on hold for 30 minutes to speak to supervisor. I am going back to cable internet

He talked me into getting my phone hooked up also then I didn’t want to move answering machine to my bedroom so we dropped that part plus I was supposed to have 100GB but when I see actual bill it’s 50GB so I call and get a woman who is basically reading in broken English I can barely understand and it’s going to cost more. Sorry I just feel sick about being had.
