Faster than DSL, unlimited service, that is what they claim. I asked about interference from storms, they said it didn't. They tried to sell me a larger package to improve pixels. I told them I didn't need more pixels as I didn't have an HD TV and my site isn't all that great anymore. They installed and the first day was okay. Second and every day after was a different story. Every day between 2 and 4 it went down and I had to hard boot the modem. I called the installer like he asked and he told me what to do. He said they were having satellite issues. I couldn't post anything to social media with the share button, I had to copy and paste right from the beginning. Less than a week later, I started buffering on my computer. I called and they said I had used up my limit, but I was told it was unlimited, that was one of the main reasons I switched. They told me they wouldn't cut me off or charge me more, but buffering all the time is not worth the cost of the service. I told them to cancel and this was less than 2 weeks of service, but today I got a bill for $344 as a cancellation fee. I do not feel I should have to pay for a service that was misrepresented. I feel this may be a Truth in Advertising issue. Slower than my DSL was, unreliable, and a total fabrication on the unlimited service. The sales rep that signed me up, out right lied to me.

Awful service on installation. I specify had in notes for pole to be put in yard. Service guy came unprepared. No concrete & didnt purchase enough. I was told i had to purchase more concrete to hold Viasats pole stable & technician didn't even attempt to bury cable....

I tried to send in my complaint on my phone but of course the little Viasat wheel goes round and round. 5 and 1/2 more months and I/m done with Viasay and Direct TV.

Their supposed "bundle" is a joke. Direct TV is dropping more and more channels-we' re still paying the same. No credit!

Viasat is the world's slowest and most expensive internet! BAD!

Viasat - STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY BAD SERVICE AND THEFTS

Besides being the worst internet service I have ever had in my 64 years, they are trying to take money from me. I called because took $324 out of my account telling me I did not return my equipment, I tracked the package and they did receive on Nov 1 and took out $324 on the 8th. They told me they would return it after we both verified return to equipment and not on the 20th after not receiving my money back in my account, I am told I am only getting $50 because all the equipment was not returned. I returned everything and because I am older they are playing games with me. There is a ticket out but - the games continue. Worst service every, cheats, liars and feel they are trying to take advantage of the elderly.

In order to use Viasat, I had to purchase TWO extenders to get internet throughout my house.

They charged me $180/month for unreliable service. They had hidden charges - $10/month to use their equipment. I was locked into a TWO YEAR contract. I had to pay $302 to cancel the account, even though they didn't deliver what they promised to deliver. Viasat is a living nightmare.

Absolutely not!! Their equipment dies-that you pay monthly fee for and they own it!! but they want you to pay a another monthly fee for repairs on their equipment so they can come out and fix the equipment that you were already renting from them??. Their signal Is lost...

Sales people lie, constant outages. Customer service kept saying, "oh did you have a storm?" You soon find out that everything qualifies as a storm...even a little drizzle or a cloudy day. Had to pay extra for service and the service was slow...like an entire week later. You start out with decent speed and you become an old customer after one month, your internet becomes exasperatingly slow The only way I would buy Viasat is if I was out in the woods somewhere and they were a last resort.

Viasat in Locust Dale, Virginia - Customer service can't resolve connectivity issues

We have a persistent conflict. with static and dynamic IP addresses.. Therefore our phones and computers cannot connect to the ViaSat without using an ethernet cable.. We seem to have to call customer service to resolve the issues on a weekly basis. They always go through the same "solution" routines, that is, reboot the modem, unplug the modem, turn off wi-fi, turn wi-fi back on, all to no avail.

Details
Viasat failed to get a service tech to our home, after 2 weeks of no shows we cancelled the service. And then they refused to remburse me for the 2 weeks of no Internet service. On top of that they still took out their monthly withdraw. I had to block their access to my Bank Account.These people are crooked thiefs.

Viasat - Lied abou contract

I asked them several, several times if during the promo period I could cancel at any time and would I be charged if I cancelled (I lived in a rural area and wasn't sure if I'd get decent service). I was reassured SEVERAL times that no, there were no fees. Month 1, I was getting less than half a megabyte per second download speed. Called to cancel, they're saying I signed a 24 month contract and I'll owe for termination fees. Uhm, Nope. I was told there were NO termination fees. They're saying I owe +$300. They intentionally misrepresented or lied to me about the 'contract' that I never signed. That is fraud, even if I did sign a contract. I'll be disputing this if it goes to collections.

Viasat - Bad all the way around
2 years and nothing but trouble, the billing is awful the way they set it up is just stupid. When you want to change your package it's hardly ever available at the time. So you get stuck in a plan $$$ in the beginning they said oh see what you need and we can change it...

Viasat in New York, New York - Unprofessional service

Took three payments out of my account overdrafted it. I contacted them same week they give me run around saying fourteen days which is unacceptable after you overdraft me. Get so called supervisor who says it will be expedited still same amount of time given. Then say I have to send proof of money coming out but yet they took it. So now we are over three weeks and now time for another bill so then they take my money and pay their bill which I have tried to get back for thee weeks now. So they *** my account up kept my money and still got their payment pretty good at scamming people. Would not recommend business with them I have 5 months and I am disconnecting ...
