Viasat - Increased rates
I was, supposedly, 'locked in' for at least 6 months for a rate of $100/month for a landline and 25mbps and was told to call when the "promotion" was over after 6 months for deals .... they shot it up to $147/month without explanation within 3 months, I called about promotions and was treated like a child by a middle easterner that had no idea what I was saying if it wasn't on their script....
Now, my bill is 159.99/month without explanation and they require your bank account information so that they can take money from your account before you can dispute anything. As far as I'm concerned, they've already charged me more than the amount of what it would cost to cancel my service before the contract is up. I ONLY deal with them because I really don't have another choice.... they're run by Excede and that also runs Highest which my other internet option, here....
it's at the point of ridiculousness that NO internet or phone service is better than not knowing how much they're going to decide to take from your account without warning.... I have to plan out EVERY CENT....
I can't plan when I don't know what my internet/landline service is going to decide to take from my account.... there's no disputing the charges because their workers are all foreign and can't comprehend the issues...DON'T GET VIASAT or HUGHESNET!!
