Horrible Customer Support Billing Errors
We moved to a more rural area and after searching for internet providers, AT&T was on the top of the list, but it wasn't AT&T - it was Viasat which I didn't realize until they guy showed up to connect the service. The service was sketchy - any bad weather and there was no service.
We ran our of data in 5 days! Then, they text and email you to buy more data. We were paying $89.99. Found out there was an internet cable provider in our area via neighbors so had that installed.
Called to cancel with Viasat and they said we had a two year contract! Who does that anymore? They refuse to waive the early termination fee (about $300).
The lady was smug with me on the phone after discussing everything else, she tells me that at the end of the conversation. I argued with her, but she said, basically, "too bad, you should have read that service agreement we emailed you."

I am a single mother who just had to move out of my house abruptly due to mold while I was renting it. My child got very sick this summer and I already have cancer so after many doctors and realizing it was the home we were living in, I moved Quickly to get our health back.
Called viasat to cancel service where I was informed they want me to climb up the two-story house that I no longer live in to get a piece off of the satellite that one of their technicians put there or Id be charged hundreds. I am 90 pounds and very ill. I cannot climb on the roof of a single-story house and I definitely cannot get up a two-story house without falling to my death. I asked to speak to a supervisor, got put on hold for over 35 minutes and then hung up on.
This is happened twice when I call to get help. This is at no- fault of my own as I was forced to move and theres no way I would sign a two-year agreement when I only had a one year lease. Regardless, the customer service rep was extremely hard to understand due to his accent, spoke over me and was not helpful or caring to my emergency situation and health.
I cannot physically climb the house to get the equipment off of it. I got the router and all the things and brought it to the new house but I have not received a box to send it back and Im not sure the customer service rep truly canceled the account.
Said if we got disconnected he would call back but never does.
I need help right away and I cannot afford hundreds of dollars in expenses after paying my last almost $200 bill and I cant live there anymore and its not my house.
Please help me. This is robbery and discrimination at its finest.

Resolved: Viasat is a piece of crap when it comes to customer service
nothing was ever actually discussed thru customer service. They are all just plain stupid.
I was able to look my account thru "my Viasat" and found that someone fixed my due date and no more money was involved and for the first time in 7 months my service was not interrupted and as far as I can tell everything has been straightened out. Thanks for staying on top of this..
Everything was taken care of. They never contacted me about anything. I just checked thru the Viasat app and found they had taken care of my problem.
How do you run your business this way. I am right and you can't talk to me or resolve YOUR mistakes
