Horrible Customer Support Billing Errors

We moved to a more rural area and after searching for internet providers, AT&T was on the top of the list, but it wasn't AT&T - it was Viasat which I didn't realize until they guy showed up to connect the service. The service was sketchy - any bad weather and there was no service.

We ran our of data in 5 days! Then, they text and email you to buy more data. We were paying $89.99. Found out there was an internet cable provider in our area via neighbors so had that installed.

Called to cancel with Viasat and they said we had a two year contract! Who does that anymore? They refuse to waive the early termination fee (about $300).

The lady was smug with me on the phone after discussing everything else, she tells me that at the end of the conversation. I argued with her, but she said, basically, "too bad, you should have read that service agreement we emailed you."

Scamming a single mom with Cancer

I am a single mother who just had to move out of my house abruptly due to mold while I was renting it. My child got very sick this summer and I already have cancer so after many doctors and realizing it was the home we were living in, I moved Quickly to get our health back.

Called viasat to cancel service where I was informed they want me to climb up the two-story house that I no longer live in to get a piece off of the satellite that one of their technicians put there or Id be charged hundreds. I am 90 pounds and very ill. I cannot climb on the roof of a single-story house and I definitely cannot get up a two-story house without falling to my death. I asked to speak to a supervisor, got put on hold for over 35 minutes and then hung up on.

This is happened twice when I call to get help. This is at no- fault of my own as I was forced to move and theres no way I would sign a two-year agreement when I only had a one year lease. Regardless, the customer service rep was extremely hard to understand due to his accent, spoke over me and was not helpful or caring to my emergency situation and health.

I cannot physically climb the house to get the equipment off of it. I got the router and all the things and brought it to the new house but I have not received a box to send it back and Im not sure the customer service rep truly canceled the account.

Said if we got disconnected he would call back but never does.

I need help right away and I cannot afford hundreds of dollars in expenses after paying my last almost $200 bill and I cant live there anymore and its not my house.

Please help me. This is robbery and discrimination at its finest.

Going out of business

Is viasat going out of business or has it gone out of business? I haven't had service for over a month and can't get a hold of anyone to help me at the phone number they gave me to call plus I have had to find my own service teck. I am guessing that they must be going out of business because I have had them for over 6 years and I can't get any help. I will have to find a new internet carrier.

This internet service is way too expensive at $175 per month and there is cap on how much data you can use without being charged more money. When trying to return the equipment they want to charge me more money and time. There is a $95 service charge for a technician to get their equipment and they have threatened to charge me another $300 if I don't return it. I hate the idea that it was the only service available for my address at the time. I would NOT recommend them at all.

Internet not able to connect to TV, was told it was my TV and it's not, every code I put in will not work. Was given wrong password ,I put the said in front back of unit plus the key and it won't work

Customer service did not help only keep saying it is my TV fault, but nothing matches up with what tech told me to do, will not send tech back to fix without charges and I pay extra to not have to pay for service call. I demand better service and a tech asap to fix not in 3 weeks like last time and fix my billing go with someone else this sucks

We were with Viasat for years, our equipment quite working, 2 days after they took the following months payment out of our credit card. so I paid a whole month of service and it didn't work,still bill

This company is a total scam and will scam people out of money and will refuse to let the customer cancel service then tell them even if you have only had the service for four days and decide we dont want it they said that we have to call on the 30th day of service before we could cancel that way they can lock the whole contract(which we never signed any contract at all) and charge a fees for early termination fees but they also wont cancel anything and theyt never send a box like they said so we can return eqipment to get out of this horrible service

These guys are the worst for customer service. They have one good on site tech I know. Have called multiple times about instability of service and whether I have data or not its the same answer everything looks fine. Today I asked about unknown devices on network unable to help. Asked if trees or anyone can ping my network and no is the answer they gave which I know is wrong. Saud technical problems in my area but couldn't explain what specifically or when it started or when resolved. Just pay money out every month for *** service all around. In rural area you have no good choices.

nothing was ever actually discussed thru customer service. They are all just plain stupid.

I was able to look my account thru "my Viasat" and found that someone fixed my due date and no more money was involved and for the first time in 7 months my service was not interrupted and as far as I can tell everything has been straightened out. Thanks for staying on top of this..

Everything was taken care of. They never contacted me about anything. I just checked thru the Viasat app and found they had taken care of my problem.

I have been dealing with Viasat for 5 months simply trying to return equipment, then get a refund. I need a refund because they wouldn't send me the box to return the equipment for 4 months.

They sent the box, I sent it but didn't get the tracking number. First they said it would take 7 to 14 business days, then 5 to 7 more business days. Now another 3 to 5 business days, because they still say they haven't received the equipment.

I sent a bag of Nespresso pods in the same day for recycling, they got to their destination the next day. Worst company I have ever dealt with.

I canceled my viasat July 18th. Didn't receive my box to send the equipment back til August 10th. Returned it 8.12. Got a text the 20th saying I'll be charged if I don't send it back. Got a voice mail 8.24 saying the same thing. Called them tonight. They said they received it on the 17th??? so why am I getting threats of being charged??? f'n ridiculous company.

Company has went downhill because we won't upgrade to pay you more money for less gigabytes on a monthly basis you guys are treating us like crap and keep shutting our service off and then will not talk to us go straight to a automated system in which I cannot speak with customer service at all and we are paying our bill monthly.
